November Love

I wish I could say that is is getting colder where I live.. but now this very moment it is 84F (29C) so my Autumn love will remain in SL! Though despite the weather I have started baking cookies, its a remnant from my childhood we’d start in November and bake a different kind of cookies every Sunday until Christmas. So on Sunday i spent several hours in the kitchen creating Salted Pumpkin Caramel cookies as of last night they were all eaten!

Anyways I am slowly putting some thought into making our space Winter ready in SL so we took a few more pictures in our Fall get-up which I am going to push into Winter sometimes after Thanksgiving. I just love the tones fall produces and it will be with some sadness that I bid that time of the year goodbye!

Before we get to the images and clothing here is my rant of the week. I hate couple poses that can not be edited! Almost no two avatars are exactly alike! They differ in height, width and a multitude of other aspects. So creating a set of pose palls that can not be pushed apart a little or where you can change the height of the individual balls to better fit the people on them is just not super useful. Clearly I am at fault here too I bought them but they came with a multitude of props so the no modify could really be applicable to any aspect of the set and I just did not think that it would mean I can not mess with the pose balls a little.Needless to say we made it work (with a little post work and redrawing of parts of my body! Another minor issue was fixed with Animare right in world but it did annoy me a little and I am just not seeing the reason why two linked pose balls should not be editable. I was thinking about asking the creator for an editable pose ball but they had a FAQ in their poses and it said in no uncertain terms that the permissions would not be changed under any circumstances so yeah while I absolutely adore the poses I will not be buying there again. In the end I always vote with my wallet and will go with products I can get greater use out of. Anyways that is enough of a rant here.

Most of the clothing we used is from events, though not all from this month I had not had the change to showcase stuff I bought at uber last month so I packed them into here too.

Autumn Dance

Coats, more coats, and …. Sweaters! And corduroys, tweeds, wool and all the wonderful warm, comfy, wrapped up clothing and fabrics that I love about autumn and colder weather. Admittedly given my locale these are mostly looked at from afar with a quiet envy.  Adira is very much into this mixture of puppies, autumnal shades, changing leaves and pumpkins, and I can’t really complain about any of those either–I confess I like them just as much I just didn’t think to combine them like she did. -Horus
